RAPID is a handy application which provides a quick answer-oriented analysis mode for intact and damaged stability for a vessel with no existing ship model. The program creates a quick salvage model by approximating the stability and longitudinal strength data for floating and stranded ships using built-in parametric ship models with statistically averaged hull coefficients and typical weight distributions. The program is designed to function with minimal initial data and no detailed information; it works with as little data as the ship's length, breadth, depth, and service speed.
